EDUCATION AT OPUS 40
Opus 40 partners with schools, libraries and community-based organizations to customize our educational programs to best meet the needs of each individual group. The goal throughout is to offer, hands-on learning and creative experiences to augment school curriculum, foster collaboration, and cultivate awareness and appreciation of our natural world. All our programs are run by qualified educators with experience in K—12 classrooms.
Our programs include:
Guided Tours of our sculpture park,
Stonemason tours of our Quarrying Museum and site,
Nature walks on our trails,
Plant identification classes,
Drawing, writing and other creative workshops designed by educators specifically for Opus 40 and adaptable to most age-groups.
We welcome student groups of all sizes and ages. Reservations must be made at least three weeks to book an educational experience, for field trips with 10 or more students, or for any appointments outside of regular operating hours.
All student groups must fill out a reservation form.
